Master

I love looking at floor plans, figuring out what I’m wrong and right with them, and when I was a kid I wanted to be an architect.

The vintage floor plans cut up for this collage all had “master suites,” which reinforced the patriarchy and social hierarchy. I never thought about that term in a negative way growing up, but now I know better, and it doesn’t hurt anyone when call them primary suites.
