Day 12: Decent

Let's be decent to each other.

President Joe Biden is leading by example, and I am encouraged by the remarks he made to his new staff members during their virtual swearing-in ceremony:

"...I'm not joking when I say this. If you're ever working with me, and I hear you treat another colleague with disrespect, talk down to someone, I promise you I will fire you on the spot. On the spot. No ifs, ands, or buts. Everybody, everybody is entitled to be treated with decency and dignity. That's been missing in a big way in the last four years..."

So much of the last 4 years was disheartening, and this is the opposite. It starts from the top, and I hope we can follow Biden's example.
