"Happy Flower !”
You might know me for my robot paintings, but I’m also drawn to collage because it’s a medium where I feel very free to experiment and play. WhenI was younger, I made subversive collages as a limited way to rebel against my strict environment, but the collages I make today reflect my mission of bringing joy and optimism to people who see my art.
This piece takes me to my happy place with maps, space, and robots. I’m experimenting with stenciling too, with graphics and rainbow gradients.
I used a jigsaw to cut the plywood, and added spacers to the back to float the artwork off the wall.
