June 24th reception, Hot Cookie!

I am really pleased to show some of my "True Colors" paintings at Hot Cookie on Polk Street in San Francisco!

This being Pride month, the show is LGBTQ+ themed with uplifting rainbow colors. I love the flower shapes I've been painting lately, and have been experimenting with different ways to paint the eyes of my robots.

This new piece, "It's All For Us," is huge--5 feet tall by 4 feet wide. I barely have room to paint pieces this big in my tiny studio, but after seeing the Hot Cookie space, I wanted to make something to fill the tall walls there. It shows Darius with a crown, and Asher in a baseball cap.

Besides this piece, there are several other paintings, and my "True Colors" plywood flowers, each with colors based on a different LGBTQ+ flag. I want to recognize and honor different groups in our community.
